FLYFISHING
The Arroyo San Javier rises in the property and crosses it for a distance of five kilometres.
Towards the end of the ‘90s, it was stocked with rainbow trout which have adapted to their new habitat and reproduced marvellously well, and are to be found in abundance in the many pools of the stream. They are of all sizes, the biggest of which weigh around 700 grams.
To walk alone along the stream looking for the pools, feeling the immensity of the mountains is one of the most outstanding attractions of this particular activity.
Points to remember:
- • The fishing season is from November to April
- • Walking shoes, a cap or a hat
- • Waders are not needed
- • Use light tackle, numbers 3 or 4
- • Nymphs # 14 downwards
- • Resistant dry flies with small hooks.
